Arash J. Sayari MD

Dr. Arash J. Sayari was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, CA, and was ranked amongst the top of his high school class before attending UCLA. There, he majored in Biology and achieved Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Sayari pursued his passion for medicine and attended The University of Miami School of Medicine, where he graduated with the highest honors, Alpha Omega Alpha (only awarded to the top 10% of students in the country).


Dr. Sayari followed-up his academic achievements with residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center, a top residency program based on U.S News & World Report rankings. To further his expertise in spine surgery, he completed a fellowship at the highly-ranked Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, CA. Here, he trained alongside leaders in both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery, focusing on minimally invasive techniques and motion preservation.


As an attestation to his work ethic and care for his patients, Dr. Sayari returned to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush as an attending spine surgeon to provide world-class spine care to the community.


Dr. Sayari has a keen interest in research and biomedical engineering. He has authored dozens of publications and book chapters, and has presented his research at national and international meetings amongst other leaders in the field of spine surgery. Research has included techniques on minimally invasive spine surgery, patient outcomes, robotics, and navigation. Dr. Sayari has won numerous awards and been awarded thousands of dollars in research grants.


When Dr. Sayari isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his his family. He is a huge sports fan and enjoys traveling.
